#1/66 I Like My Coffee Black is a true jet black base cut with ribbons of icy silver. The silver is our #66 tone — cool rather than warm, so it reads as silver against the black instead of turning brassy.
It is a placement color. Concentrated around the face it reads as a bold money piece; distributed through the mid-lengths it reads as dimension. Decide which with your client at consultation, before the install.
The case for it is technical, not seasonal: taking natural level-1 hair to a true icy silver is not a one-appointment service, and on many heads it cannot be done without compromising the hair. This is that look with no lift, no toner and no chemical service.
